Location & access - just a 10 minute easy walk from shinagawa station (one train away from Haneda airport) where you can pick up JR Passes and get the bullet train. Close to a couple of convenience stores. Restaurants - some free snacks and drinks on site in the evening- they looked good in passing but we didn’t get anything. Close to the station and restaurants there. Staff - spoke English, were very polite and we were thankfully allowed to check in early as they had availability. Very grateful after a 14 hour flight! Express checkout. WiFi speed - 94mbps download, 127mbps upload in the bedroom. Seemed consistent. Breakfast - a mix of Japanese and continental style stuff - both hot and cold. Room looked quite small given the number of bedrooms but there was plenty of space when we went at 7:30am. Amenities - literally everything you could need toiletry wise, plus the Japanese pj / robe and slippers! Very fashionable! Bed / pillows - bed was against 1 wall - common in Japan and fine for us but might not be if one of you has mobility issues. I don’t remember if there was another room option without this that we didn’t pick, Mix of pillows, including some of the Japanese type with the beads, but if you don’t like that it seems you can just turn them over and it’s fine, Noise levels - fine Temperature - aircon in the room Shower - consistent pressure and temperature in a typical Japanese shower room. Had an odd window between the shower and the bedroom, but there was a blind, so that was fine! We won’t judge if you don’t! Overall comments - decent modern hotel with everything you need, in the perfect location after a long flight. Would stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here from June 9 to 16. That was our first trip to Japan, and Miyako helped make it perfect. We booked and paid for a Deluxe King Room in advance. The check-in process was quick and smooth, as was the check-out. All the staff speak English. The room wasn't spacious, but just fine for two people. The bed was enormous. The hotel kindly provided us with an extra blanket. We never used it, an original one was enough. The room had an electric kettle, tea, coffee, mini-fridge, safe, TV, air conditioning system, etc. Wi-Fi was good. The bathroom was quite big with a separate area for a shower and a bath tub. It had shampoo, hair conditioner, a tooth kit, a vanity kit, hair dryer, etc. A maid cleaned our room every day and left additional items instead of used ones. Washing machines are an advantage of Miyako. We washed and dried our clothes on our own. It was cheap. Breakfast hours are from 6:00 or 7:00 until 10:30 approximately. Breakfast choice was sufficient. At first, it seemed quite limited, but we never left hungry. Some dishes changed every other day. At lunchtime, Miyako served free drinks and snacks. The hotel is in a clean and calm place. It's near Shinagawa station, Takanawa Gateway, and Sengakuji Station. You can go to Narita or Haneda airports by a direct express right from Shinagawa station. Bonus!:) There were comprehensive travel guidebooks. They offered a 10% discount in some shops when showing the guidebooks. We were stupid enough to not take them on the first day. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay. The next time in Tokyo, we'll definitely book Miyako again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The bed was super soft and comfortable. The location is convenient, with two subway stations nearby, making it easy to get around Tokyo. There's also a convenience store close by, which was really handy. The staff was really friendly. I also enjoyed the complimentary drinks and snacks in the evenings, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for its location, friendly staff, and nice extras. The room was a bit small,so there wasn't much space to comfortably open my big suitcase. It felt a bit cramped trying to move around with it open. But I guess that's typical for Tokyo hotels. That didn't affect our wonderful stay in this hotel.

In terms of travellers‘ convenience, this hotel is hard to beat. Location: 7 mins walking max to or from Shinagawa station, with direct access to Haneda or Narita Airports, local trains and west bound Shinkansen. Comfort: rooms are small but cozy and bathrooms are well designed in a compact space. Everything is there. There are blackout curtains that do not leave any light through. And the mattress was fantastic for my problem ridden back. I slept well here for the first time since arriving in Japan. Breakfast had sufficient choice for my needs. The hotel provides luggage forwarding service which helped tremendously with my travel arrangements. Definitely to be recommended.

The location is a short walk to Shinagawa Station, which is what we wanted, and the breakfast was delicious! There was a good mix of traditional Japanese food and western options. We really appreciated the hotel staff and comfy beds. The bathroom is also wonderful. The price is fantastic considering the breakfast buffet for two people.
